Working Tax Child Credit

Working Tax Child Credit The truth of the matter is that all tax credits are but the same. All gives benefits to the taxpayers, if and only if they qualify. There are lots of tax credits, like the Tax Child Credit, and other form of tax credits.

Now, this Working Tax Child Credit, or WTCC for brevity, has superseded the so - called Working Families Tax Credit or WFTC for short. It is for the reason that in the latter, there has been six (6) months renewal of credits, otherwise known as Family Credits. But before we go further with this discussion on the, somewhat, amendment that has been made, we should first know what does it mean when we speak of Working Tax Child Credit. Well, this is the amount of Credit given for people who work but have a very low income.

Those people who work for their families do not exclusively involve family persons, or those having children of their own, but also those who do not have. Now, this Working Tax Child Credit involves additional amounts of bequeaths for qualified taxpayers, should they be someone suffering from disability, or those having been qualified for qualifying childcare. What does it mean? It only means one thing -- that is, they have constantly taken care of their children, whether or not these are their biological children, on the prescribed conditions set forth by law.

Insofar as Working Tax Child Credit is concerned, should you be a person having a child or having someone who may be considered as a minor, but still in your custody, not as a child, but as someone who has been in need of your time and love, then you should file a Working Tax Child Credit, in your benefit. Another instance is that if you have a young person, or a minor in your custody, taken care by you not as a child but as a worker, and consistently work for you for a minimum period of sixteen (16) hours in a week, you may also qualify for the same.

That only pertains to those having a child, or not so long as they have children in their custody, completely depending on them insofar as their basic necessities are concerned.

The next thing that we are going to discuss is the fact or the probability that a person may not have a child or children for that matter. If this is so, you may still file for said tax credit so long as you qualify to the following requisites:

  • The first one is that you are a person whose age is twenty five (25) or even beyond but has been engaged in a work for a period of at least thirty (30) hours in a week;

  • The second one is the fact that you are a person whose age is sixteen (16) or even beyond and working for at least sixteen (16) hours in a week. However, in this type, you are also required to qualify to the disability element set forth therein
